I just spoke to writer/artist, Everette Hartsoe. In 1992, Hartsoe released Razor, a comic book about a tormented young girl, driven to her breaking point and exacting revenge on the criminals who murdered her family. Razor was ultra-violent and ultra-sexy, and that is what got her the distinction of being the anti-hero who started the "bad girl" genre in the 1990's.The interview was a big honor for me. I was one of the lucky readers who picked up the very first Razor comic when it came out and I stuck with the character to the very last book published back in 1999.
Well, Hartsoe is back and he brought his signature character with him in a new book called Razor: Scars. Razor: Scars is a big beautiful graphic novel that marks a new era for both the "bad girl" vigilante and her creator. In our chat, Hartsoe tells us about the Kickstarter that he's using to publish this amazing new book, and he also gives us some hints and a promise of a Razor movie, currently in the works. With help from Jeff Most, the producer of The Crow, Hartsoe's creation is just a breath away from hitting the big screen and fans can't wait.
So listen to the interview, then check out the Kickstarter and become a part of publishing history.
